  • Group activity: Mapping a current challenge using IDEAL

Session 2: Why Decisions Fail – And What to Do About It 

  • The cost of indecision and delayed action 
  • Internal and external decision-making barriers 
  • Case study: a poor decision and its ripple effects 
  • Personal reflection: What holds me back from deciding? 

Part 3: Tools for Clarity – Analytical & Intuitive Balance 

  • The balance between intuition and logic 
  • The 4 Whys Technique: Identifying root causes 
  • The Appreciation Technique: Finding strengths in the problem 
  • Small group practice using both tools 

Part 4: Six Thinking Hats – Structured Perspective-Taking 

  • Overview of De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats 
    (White – Facts, Red – Emotions, Black – Risks, Yellow – Benefits, Green – Creativity, Blue – Process) 
  • Team simulation using a real or complex case 
  • Discussion: How does this method shift our thinking? 

Part 5: Brainstorming & Strategic Filtering 

  • Brainstorming techniques for high-stakes decisions 
    (e.g., Silent brainstorming, Round-robin, SCAMPER) 
  • Decision-filtering tools: Impact vs. Effort matrix 
  • Activity: Brainstorm and shortlist solutions for a current work challenge
