  • Brief overview of workshop objectives 
  • Icebreaker activity 

Part 2. Why Goals Fail vs. Why Goals Succeed 

  • Discussion on common pitfalls in personal goal setting 
  • Introduction to the characteristics of effective goals 
  • Group reflection: Lessons from past success or failure 

Part 3. The NLP Approach to Goal Setting 

  • Introduction to NLP and its relevance to personal change 
  • The “Well-Formed Outcome” model 
  • Activity: Reframing vague goals into well-formed outcomes 

Part 4. Strategy Development for Success 

  • Outcome goals vs. process goals 
  • Backward planning and chunking goals into manageable steps 
  • Small group task: Drafting a strategy map for a personal goal 

Part 5. Building an Action Plan with Built-in Evaluation 

  • Creating a personal goal action plan 
  • Integrating evaluation checkpoints and feedback loops 
  • Checklist: Is your plan measurable, actionable, flexible? 

Part 6. Identifying Internal and External Resources 

  • Recognising internal strengths and support systems 
  • NLP visualisation technique: Future Pacing Exercise
